We recently enjoyed another wonderful dinner at Matt’s Red Rooster in Flemington, NJ. I love a BYOB restaurant. Not only does it make the check more affordable, but it also allows you to bring a special bottle from your own collection. Matt’s menu focuses on seasonally fresh local ingredients, and offers some of the best wood fire grilled cuisine around… so this rich Bordeaux paired perfectly with Alan’s NY strip steak and my grilled swordfish. The entrees and the wine were both terrific. Reasonably priced at under $20.00 a bottle, this Bordeaux was smooth and easy to drink. I’ll definitely be picking up another bottle. For all the Bucks County locals out there, I purchased this at Phillips Fine Wines in Stockton, NJ.
